I gotta say, Nintendo are playing it smart. By the time 720 & PS4 launch, Wii-U will be able to sell for a much lower price.

Sony & MS need to get there a$$es moving if they want any chance of selling REALLY well, as casuals will jump aboard the Wii-U due to the lower price point.

Oh, & my launch PS3 went back to sony for repairs, as I got the YLOD about 2.5yrs after launch & after MASSIVE ammounts of use, including numerous times I left it on all day to play, then all night often to download demos, games & such.
I sent it back for repairs & have used it hardcore again for the past 2.5-3yrs & it hasn't missed a beat. Whereas 90% of 360's that went back for RROD repairs would last maybe a week, maybe a day, maybe a month or 2, ma...

If you have a fat model 360, it will fail sooner rather than later. The models up until the slim have a 100% failure rate.....there is no denying that unless your a xbox fanboy.

The slim models maybe more reliable, I hope so, but I've only had mine for a month or so, due yo my fat model with Falcon chip & all, getting the 3RROD epidemic.
Hopefully now after 5 years(6 up to now, but slim released about a year or so ago) they have the fault rate down to 3...

You should see the Australian stores range.....It is so pathetic it's pathetic. Most of the games released thus far are Midas published & possibly developed, so they are the horrible budget titles released when PS2 was dead in the water & PS3 had arrived.
I'm not sure if Europe & Australia share the same store, it would seem logical, but then again logical to me, would be to release the best of the best range of PS2 & PS1 back catalogue.
I have a...

The best game on Move or Kinect is The House Of The Dead: Overkill, & that is a damn light gun game that could have been done without those 2 gimmicks & just sold with a lightgun.

The rest of the games are experimental & apart from 2 or 3 sports & fitness type crap that actually do control half well, the others are slow, dopey, unresponive, shovelware.
Any of the others that scored well, usually did so because they also used normal control meth...

Hardcore gamers know there is no real need for a change in control methods. Standing up & playing out the actions of a game is fun for about 5-10mins the 1st time you play, then the gimmick wears thin, fast.

They cannot replace traditional controllers, for the reason many have already mentioned. You go to work for the day & may be on your feet doing manual labour for 6-7hrs, so the last bloody thing you wanna do when you arrive home is stand in front of the tv ...

Look at the fanboys knocking 360's dvd format, when nobody takes advantage of PS3's blu ray anyhow,.......unless there releasing a special ed., extended ed., uncut, remixed, banned in 23.5 countries Blu Ray version of a movie we've already had 10 times.
Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, but as shown with original Xbox, developers won't take advantage of a machines power for multiplat titles, as it's not worth there extra effort. PS2 had he install base adv...

"Another blind GT fan"
@Hennessy86

Actually, I'd rather play the Motorstorm series, Burnout series, Pure, Nail'd or a small handful of other arcade racer, so guess blindly throw your uneducated opinion around again my window licking little friend.
Fact is, GT is widely considered a sim, & is closer to that description than pretty much any other console racing game this gen (maybe minus some of the more mediocre, unpolished titles li...

There not a barrier, there a neccesity & ALL other loads of BS are gimmicks.

The only thing they need to do with controllers is optimize them in any & all areas that need be. Make the anaologue sticks as comfy & tight controlling as possible, streamline the ergonomics to make the hunk of plastic sit in the hands as best as possible, & all these types of evolutionary steps forward.

Theres so many sequels to already released PS3 games that I'd love to be announced, Killzone 4, Resistance 4 (even though not Insomniac, would be awesome to see the Killzone engine used for a 4th iteration), inFamous 3, Unchartered 4, to mention a few (weirldy they are all pt.4's).

But Sony has a ridiculously good back catalogue of awesome PS1 & PS2 games that I'm begging get the PS3 treatment. The Getaway 3 being re-announced would be a good start, even ...

Yeh, there development time is out of syn with the overall quality of the titles. Forza is being developed in waaay less time & looks near as good, & many prefer the gameplay of Forza (of course, not myself), but gone are the days of GT's total, unwavering, unmatched dominance in the driving sim stakes. I will say though that GT is still the only true console racing sim, as Forza & the rest delve into the whole arcadey mix of gameplay too heavily.

I just wish Insomniac were at the helm of future Resistance releases, & I hope to god they never hand off the Ratchet series for other developers to butcher, just as Universal did to Crash when ND palmed it off.

One things for sure, Sony mishandled Insomniac somehow, as they should have been one of those in the minority, that stayed Sony exclusive.
And, if EA mishandle Insomniacs work (as it already looks like there doing like Sony did with bad marketing &a...

I was really looking forward to PS4's announcement & release, until I looked around at my games collection & how many awesome titles I have that are unfinished......I have so many PS3 games it's ridiculous, easily over 100 (& thats after getting rid of many), now most of these games are either started, or near finished & many being somewhere in between (also a fair few that are yet to be started).
Also, way less 360 games, but still 15-20 that I gotta finish...

Why are they bothering, & even more scary is how in the hell are they up to a 3rd sequel? I mean, is this series even selling enough to justify a sequel?

WRC was best off in Evolution Studios (Motorstorm), as there PS2 WRC titles went from a good series with pt 1, to one of the best rally series (as well as racing game series in general), with there last offering in WRC3:Evolution.
I'd love to see Evolution Studios do another WRC. Also, why not give i...

Sony has no choice but to strip back what they can, & storage costs money....not much maybe, but every cent counts for both MS & Sony.

Sony are releasing the 16gig version, in direct competition to MS's 4gig 360.
Sony know MS are selling heaps of these units to either stingy, uneducated casuals, unknowing soccer mums & also those unable to afford more expensive hardware with bigger hdd's. Well, they are also being bought for the same reason ...

Why would anyone care????? THPS has had it now. The Skate series knocked it the f$#k out, & it never recovered. This tripe is old hat & some games age well, the Hawk series is just sadly not one of them.

I care not what the mass media says & Nintendo fanboys, PSP is the greatest handheld with the best quantity of quality titles.
It deserved MASSIVE success early in it's lifecycle instead of so late. No, it didn't have 2 analogue thumbsticks for shooters, as we all would have liked,...but no handhelds did (until the Vita), but it was a positive in a way really, as it inspired developers to come up with more than just rehashed shooters (which I fear is going to stunt PS...

@ b_one....I think we have the right to be butthurt my friend....especially if your a person whom like myself enjoys a game like MS:PR & bought it at launch for full price with no thought in our heads that the online servers would shut up before PS3's life was over.

These are Sony inhouse games, so it seems more logical to keep them open at very least until PS4 is a couple of months before release. And even then, it would be a nice sign if they all stayed around...

Yes, Pacific Rift's shutdown is a bit premature....apart from that I have no problem with the others mentioned. But I hope thats it, as the Socoms, MAG, KZ1 & 2, etc, etc still have strong communities.

Also, MS:PR is mentioned to be closed, but what about the original MS? And, considering PR had to have sold far better than Apocalypse, (as it was supposed to have sold crap), then it's not a good sign for Evolutions last PS3 disk based offering.

So for starters in the gaming front alone, we already have the ability for us to throw in any PS1 or PS2 game & play it off the bat.
Next we have PSN & it's totally free nature, in regards to online gaming, accessability to demo's, gametrailers, certain free dlc & game updates & such....Hell, Home even offers TOTALLY FREE games & a social experience unlike what the other 2 offer (if your into that whole scene).
As stated, the back catalogue &a...
